IN OUR CHURCH

Church is not only something we do, it is something we are. We don't just come to church, we also support the running of the church. Our church family supports the activities of the worship service by serving in the Sound Booth, Children's Church, Journey Kids, Journey Girls Ministry, Journey Women's Group, Journey Men's Group, Hospitality, and Cleaning. Family members also maintain the church website, prepare the weekly church bulletin, and host the weekly Homegroup. A coordinator for each ministry schedules volunteers on rotating basis.

IN OUR COMMUNITY

Apart from the individual contributions that the Journey family makes in their communities, the church is always considering areas that the Lord has laid on the family's hearts. Currently these include: supporting the homeless (through The Van), providing snacks for the waiting rooms (Baptist Springhill Hospital), and recently we have been led to pursue supporting local people in need (through the Red Door). We host Secret Church on an annual basis, as well as our Harvest Fest (October 31).

IN OUR WORLD

Missions - We have an active ministry with the Cabecar people in Costa Rica that includes monthly support and periodic visits. We support local Costa Rican pastors who have been reaching out to the indigenous Cabecar people for two decades. There are currently two congregations on the reservation with attendance approaching 150 people. The local pastors are training members to reach more in their communities through an active discipleship class.

Persecuted Church - We support our family around the world who are suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ through prayer and donations to Open Doors. Brother Andrew's ministry has been working with the persecuted church since 1955 and is currently on the ground supporting Christians in 60 countries.

Christmas Around the World - We are active participants in Operation Christmas Child, sponsored by the Samaritan's Purse organization. Our volunteers stuff shoeboxes with gifts for boys and girls of various ages, and Samaritan's Purse brings Christmas to millions of children around the world.
